Waste Transported to Bantar Gebang Targeted to Be Reduced By 30 Percent

West Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-department is targeting to reduce waste volume transported to Bantar Gebang up to 30 percent in 2020.

Currently we have reduced our waste by 19 percent

West Jakarta LH Sub-department Head, Edy Mulyanto conveyed, plan to reduce waste volume has been implemented since August 2017.

27 Markets to Be Equipped with Waste Banks and Composters

"Currently we have reduced our waste by 19 percent," he asserted, Thursday (8/1).

It is done by applying waste sorting in 655 waste bank units (BSU) in 56 sub-districts.

"From August 2017 to July 2019, Satu Hati Central Waste Bank's income from waste sorting reaches Rp 9 billion. Mass socialization will be also done in all RTs/RWs this August," he informed.
